New Brand for Che Trends
As a designer it can be tempting to show off all your tricks and special effects at once, but this Brand Identity for Che Trends is a testament that keeping it simple can lead to the best results.
Daniella from Che Trends was starting a new lifestyle blog. She wanted to share her love of fashion and her family and was looking for a strong modern logo that would represent her brand. Che means "Oi! You!" in Spanish and Daniella didn't want to lose any of that aggression or punch when it translated to paper (if you know what I mean?).
I drew my inspiration for Che Trends from this Mood Board. I kept the colour palette simple, allowing the yellow to 'shout' against a black background. The combination of black and yellow gave the whole brand a modern look but the soft watercolour textures and the brush font kept it soft and feminine, without being girly.
One of the best things about this logo was the way Daniella just clicked with it. I basically said, so I have this concept and she saw it and said, "YES! Done!" Too easy!!
For the secondary logo, I concentrated on making the logo versatile enough to use in any circumstance. As beautiful as the watercolour background is in the main logo, it's just not going to translate well in some backgrounds and mediums. So once again I kept things simple and adopted the beautiful lines of the typography component of the main logo. I actually think it looks just as strong and dramatic like this!
