TERMS OF SERVICE
Lots of info here, but it's all important because it lays out the terms of working with me. Please read through it carefully before you place an order.
I often make my first contact with clients via Facebook, but the best way to get in touch with me, is by email. I will email you with questions, proofs and designs.
Most logo and brand designs will be delivered in a 2 week time frame, however additional services may take longer.
It's important to keep in mind that the design process is organic, depending on many variables (revisions, complexity of the design, etc.) Your patience during the process will absolutely yield the best possible result.
My role in the process is to develop ideas and designs based on your needs. You are responsible for any content such as wording, product photography, web content etc unless we have a prior agreement.
Since all computer monitors and devices display colour differently, we cannot guarantee print colours will match colours viewed on screen or when printed. For these reasons, we do not accept returns based on colour nor do we accept returns for approved proof errors. We recommend you always ask your preferred printer to do a hard proof before printing a large quantity and am happy to trouble-shoot any problems that may arise.
You, the client, have ownership of the final logo design for use in any media application that is beneficial to your business. Garlic Friday Graphic Design retains the right to use the final logo, or any versions of the logo created in the process, within printed and on-line portfolios, including promotional materials such as newsletters and advertisements. The client also gives Garlic Friday Graphic Design permission to use client’s full name, business address, and/or website address, for testimonial purposes on our website, or other business related media. The client understands that it is the client’s responsibility to copyright the logo design and/or seek trademark.
All designs and concepts are property of Garlic Friday Graphic Design.
STORAGE OF YOUR DESIGN
I do not have storage space on my computer to save every design I create. I delete all major files from my computer one month after I send them to you. Please, please, please store them in a safe place. For a fee of $45 I can have a USB ZIP drive with all your files posted to you (Australia only). If you lose your master files, you will be billed for any recreation of your files.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Officially I work Monday to Friday, but my hours do vary. In fact, lots of design work happens overnight and you'll often have an email waiting for you the following morning.
Payments are accepted via PayPal or direct deposit, if you are within Australia. A 50% deposit is required to secure my services. This deposit is non refundable as it guarantees you a spot in my queue. You will need to pay the full balance prior to release of your final designs.
PROOFING + REVISIONS
After you receive the initial 3 logo designs, you will choose one design that will then be developed for you. You will have up to 3 revisions of your Primary logo design and up to 2 revisions of any submarks, watermarks, secondary logos and other branding collateral. Any revisions beyond the these parameters may require additional fees. Once your design has been finalised and approved, any changes requested that are not a result of an error on my part are subject to a fee of $60 an hour.
PERMISSIONS + IMAGES
Garlic Friday Graphic Design is not liable for any photos or design elements provided by clients. Please be sure to have permission before submitting any elements or photography to use in your design.
If you would like to use an image from a stock image site, please purchase the file and send it to me when we begin the design process.
All correspondence between you and Garlic Friday Graphic Design is confidential and may not be shared or forwarded to others without my expressed written consent.
CANCELLATIONS + REFUNDS
Due to the nature of design work, refunds will not be issued after any part of the design process has been done, including the design board.
Should you choose to terminate a project for any reason, you will have a design credit in the amount of any invoices you paid for one calendar year. Deposits are non-refundable.
Illness, injury, or other events beyond Garlic Friday Graphic Design's control, such as: fire, theft, computer failure, and Acts of God may result in a delay of unpredictable length. If this happens, the client has the right to terminate this Agreement if, Garlic Friday Graphic Design fails to complete the Logo within 60 days of deposit submission. If agreement is terminated for any reason other than failure to deliver within 60 days, Garlic Friday Graphic Design shall retain the deposit.
Please note, by submitting your order + deposit, you are acknowledging that you’ve read, understand and agree to my terms of design with absolutely no exceptions.
